After being active my whole life and competing athletically once that was no longer my reality I struggled to find the balance between life and being physically active. I was always relatively thin which meant for the most part I ate what I wanted to and very rarely worked out, and if I did it would be 3 workouts every couple of months.
It wasn't until getting a job as a youth sports coach that I realized health is more than just perception. How could I ask my athletes to do things that I couldn't do myself. So I began getting consistent in the gym, changing my diet from fast foods and junk foods to a cleaned up diet that supported my goals, to eventually becoming a vegetarian.
I went from working out maybe once a month to holding myself accountable to work out 5 days a week. I understand that it takes sacrifices to get to there you want to be and become consistent with it. I also understand how to make it feel like there aren't that many sacrifices that you won't make so you feel and look as healthy as you want to be. Trust me with your fitness journey and allow me to help you view fitness as a lifestyle change.
